Happy 2016!!!! “Sing a new song to the Lord”
Songs express so much, just take a look at King David in His beloved writings. As the new year starts, consider it, it says NEW song. This year will bring so much, God only knows, yet what new opportunities to praise Him and express our trust and need for Him through Joy and trial!
A look back at December:
December was a very busy month, with new experiences, blessings and also surprises!
Kids Camp
Dec. 7-11th I had the opportunity to serve at Kids Camp!It was so surreal to think that this was the same camp I came to as an 18 year old to do building projects and now was able to be counselor to young girls and be a part of the work God is doing in Colombia!
Praising the Lord for great week of camp with a number of these kids realizing their need for a Savior and a relationship with their Creator!

A Christmas Surprise!!!
What a crazy surprise! a big thanks goes out to my home church for making it happen and to several friends that kept the big big secret (for several months)! My momma got on a plane and came all the way to Colombia to be with me for Christmas.. came all the way.. might I add first time outside of the country and by herself!!! It was a wonderful time with my mom and with my teammates celebrating the birth of Jesus.. really the reason we are here the hope that we have in Him because Jesus came as a babe!
Testimony Spotlight
While counseling at Kids Camp I had the opportunity to be a counselor to 10 girls in my cabin, one of which was this sweet girl (pictured left). As we began to talk she explained that she reads the bible she attends church, but when it came to the question of how to be saved she made the connection that these “things” that she does, they fall so short of what God requires!
On that day as we talked she accepted the totally free girt of Jesus and His grace! There is nothing more beautiful than to hear the prayer from the heart of a child welcoming the Savior and Abba!
Please continue to pray for the kids that are beginning to grow their faith and for the many that need to know the truth of Salvation especially in a religious culture with so much emphasis on works!

What life looks like lately
Thanks so much for your prayers for me as I continue to adjust to life and culture. Cannot believe it already has been nearly 4 months since first arriving, in that time God has been teaching me so much, probably the biggest thing of which is patience! With so many ideas and dreams and desires for ministry, I feel like God is giving me so many opportunities for growth and waiting on His perfect timing and learning in this new culture. I am beginning to get some continued tutoring and help with language and culture, meeting with a friend once a week!
Ministry
My ministry right now is visiting all the churches and meeting with the pastors, as I pray and seek where to get plugged into. It has been such a blessing to meet the believers and hear the stories of what God is doing in their lives and in the ministries throughout so many different communities here in this big city!
I also am very excited as I have some opportunity to serve doing some media projects and trips coming up this year!
Nearly every Sunday I have had the blessing of visiting the different Churches in Bogotá and some even in other parts. Visiting Pastor Omar Benites and His family
So thankful for you all! So incredibly grateful for your prayers!
Here are some ways you can be praying…
> Church Visits: pray that I will continue to make good connections and for wisdom as I seek God’s leading in the ministry He has for me to get involved in!
> Upcoming Media Ministry opportunities and projects
> Colombia Team retreat: Planning and decision making (Jan. 26-30)
> Spanish Speaking South America Regional Conference (feb 1-5)
> Continued growth in Language and Culture
